You can also support the Kankeronderzoekfonds Limburg by organising an event. Everyone may participate and it can be organised anywhere: at the sport club, at school, with the entire street or neighbourhood, at the office or together with friends and family. What ever you are planning, turn it into a special event. Cook with your friends for your business relations and make it a benefit dinner, organise a fancy fair or arrange a sponsored running event or bicycle tour. There are countless other ideas.
Read the following examples for inspiration:
- An organised walking/bicycle tour, with sponsored teams.
- Organise a day of street games in the neighbourhood.
- A neighbourhood walk including all the local beauty spots.
- Sponsored participation in Maastrichts Mooiste or another running event.
- A swimming marathon at the local swimming club.
- A benefit performance, playback show or karaoke evening.
- A local art competition where works of art are created and then auctioned. Encourage a local artist to join in!
- A lottery or bingo with bizarre prizes, sponsored by local businessmen and companies.
- Organise a jumble sale with a hobby corner, board games, darts, etc.
- Take dogs for walks, wash cars, weed a garden, do small tasks together with others.
